Makeovers
Each of us possesses a unique face. This uniqueness is an important part of our identity, our signature, and sometimes even our armor. And yet, most of us have at one time or another wished we could somehow change the faces with which we are born, or erase the signs of aging we have developed over the years. Instead of admiring our distinctive features – a high brow, an aquiline nose, bony cheekbones, deep laugh lines, a dimpled chin -- we tend to bemoan what we don’t see in that mirror.
The truth is we all want to feel beautiful. But how do we get to that place in which feeling is believing? More important, how do we accept our uniqueness in the face of the constant pressure to look similar to the models, actresses, and beauty queens who inundate the magazines -- by the way, they don’t start out looking like that.
Let me share one secret: it takes hours of makeup, hair, lighting and usually computer retouching to achieve the effects of perfection on the women –both young and old – who appear on the covers of magazines, on TV, or in films.
The women you are going to meet are not models or beauty queens. They are, like you and me, wonderfully typical women who want to change the so-called flaws of their faces. With the quick and easy makeup techniques they learned, however, they transformed their look, becoming exceptional, striking, and hard to forget.
By following several simple steps, they have learned to highlight their best features, down-play features they are uncomfortable with, and, in some cases, literally change the way their faces appear – as if by magic!
