Favorite Beauty Products of 2010
Last year i didn't get to do this .. not sure why. i felt like i was only on YT for a few months (I believe my first video was in July of 2009?) so i didn't think i had enough "say" in my favorites for a whole year, so i just stuck to doing "December Favorites" instead .. this year, i do intend on showing you guys in a video my favorite products, but i figure i could do it on my blog as well to "explain" stuff .. haha. you know, a more extended version of the video sorta ... LOL. in the video i'm only gonna point out SOME of my favorite beauty products, not all that's listed here .. that'd be a long ass fukn video, LMAO.

Concealer: Eve Pearl's Salmon Concealer duo, MAC's StudioFinish concealer, Benefit's Erase Paste and Maybelline DreamMatte Mousse concealer :)

Foundation: MUFE HD Foundation or NARS Sheerglow for medium/higher end .. for drugstore, i love Revlon's Colorstay and PhotoReady. :)

Powder: hands down, MUFE Duo Mat :) nothing in my collection can compare to it yet!!

Blush: MAC's MSF in Cheeky Bronze!!!! i have 2 backups and still haven't hit pan on my original :) it's seriously gonna last me for years .. and i fully intend on purchasing more if it ever re-releases :) .. oh and i liked MAC's cream blush in Joie de Vivre in the summer :)

HD Foundation Review

HD Foundation Review
Unless you are addicted to YouTube channels or you have been to IMATS recently, you most probably have never heard of Eve Pearl.  Eve Pearl, the person, is a five time Emmy award winning makeup artist who has worked on numerous celebrities and personalities for TV and movies.  Eve Pearl, the line, produces some amazingly high quality products with serious skincare ingredients that are made to work for photography and help you look your best.

I was really interested in trying this line after seeing the foundation and concealer pop up again and again on
YouTube.  Eve Pearl has her own extensive channel on YouTube.  I highly recommend watching it for pointers and instructions on the products.  There are lots of tutorials that you can benefit from even if you weren't interested in the products

I am NC35 (on the MAC shade scale), and from the videos, I felt that I was possibly in between a medium and light in foundations.  I chose this particular trio because I thought it would suit my skin.  HD Foundation Trio A - Light Medium comes with foundations Light 1, Medium 1 and Medium 2.  Price is $50.

If you aren't sure what shade would work for you, Eve Pearl staffers will match you if you email them of photo of yourself.  Here is a link to their
contact page.  The line prides itself on having a shade for every face.  Women of color will definitely be happy to see a wide variety of shades in this collection.

Eve Pearl fully understands the blemishes, dark circles and all those things that we would like to keep secret when we show our faces to the world.

Products used:
Eve Pearl HD Foundation Trio - A
Eve Pearl Dual Salmon Concealer and Treatment in Light/Medium
Eve Pearl Au Natural Eye Palette
Nars Smudgeproof Eyeshadow base
Cover Girl Liquiline Blast eyeliner in Brown Blaze
Dior Diorshow mascara in black
MAC Venomous Villains Bite of Apple blush
Dolce and Gabbana lipgloss in Seduction

To Review:
Eve Pearl HD Foundation
Pros: Luxurious, gliding texture.  Weightless on the skin. Medium to full coverage depending on application method. Paraben, mineral oil and petrolatum free.

Cons: Pricey, but a little goes a LONG way.  Packing on the trio isn't as nice as the standard duo.  Only available online and at a few select retail locations.
Overall Beautyburg Rating: A

Holy Grail: Eve Pearl Smudgeproof Liquid Eyeliner

Holy Grail: Eve Pearl Smudgeproof Liquid Eyeliner

With the exception of when I shed a few tears while watching Invictus, this eyeliner does not budge or smudge all day! Every single eyeliner Iíve used to date whether itís liquid, gel or pencil, all smudge on me by the end of the day. Not Eve Pearl!

There is no need to shake this eyeliner and a good amount of black liquid comes out when you run your line. If you look at my picture below, you can see that the color bleeds a little bit but I donít find it noticeable when Iím finished applying the eyeliner.

Even though it stays in place during the day, it is easily removable with eye makeup remover (I use Neutrogena gentle eye makeup remover pads).

The tip is a brush tip, not felt tip like most liquid eyeliners. The precision that it allows for is amazing! And although you can create really thin lines, you can easily build it up to thicker lines and it looks great.

Conclusion: I LOVE this eyeliner. Like I said, it is my new holy grail eyeliner. I highly highly highly recommend this eyeliner, especially if you like liquid eyeliners.

Where to buy: On the Eve Pearl website for $26.00. I was able to purchase this during Eve Pearlís Black Friday sale for 40% off. They do ship internationally if youíre outside the U.S. Her website lists several physical stores that sell her products.

EVE PEARL Salmon Concealer
Review: Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer

Hallelujah!!! My search for the perfect concealer is finally over..I bought Eve Pearl salmon concealer in Tan and Medium. I love them both!  I think Tan is just a bit better than Medium
The consistency is between that of Bobbi Brown corrector and MUFE cream concealer. It blends beautifully on well moisturized skin. It looks a bit cakey over foundation, so remember to blend with a wet sponge.

Please note I am not wearing any makeup, and I applied the concealer on the undereye area only.

What's in Paulina Elor's makeup kit?

Ever wonder what is in a makeup artist's personal makeup bag?   What goodies there are inside and what can we learn from what's inside, after all, they are the experts!  We spoke to Paulina Elor, partner of Wink Makeup Academy and makeup artist extraodinaire for a sneak peak into her personal makeup moment! Here's what we found and what Paulina had to tell us about what's in her bag!

Evgeny Cosmetics KISSETTE Brush Set is to die for! I love these brushes! They blend out my makeup
applications beautifully with minimal effort of course!

N&N Zerva Cosmetics, Silky Touch Liquid Foundation is so amazing for my skin! It glides on effortlessly and evenly and conceals all of my imperfections along the way. It dries quickly, itís waterproof and super long lasting! But if you want to find it, youíll have to make a little trip to Greece.

Kett Translucent Loose Powder is my absolute must have for setting my makeup as it keeps everything in place!

Nars Laguna Bronzer has forever been my perfect shade of bronze. Itís not to red, orange or muddy brown. I get a radiant, golden glow from this bronzer.

Nars Zen Blush is my go to, for contour, shade and cheek colour

Eve Pearl Black Liquid Liner is by far the best liquid liner Iíve ever used! It just doesnít move! The precision on this tip is just right for creating the perfect black winged liner!

Embryolisse 24 hr miracle cream is a moisturizer and primer in one! It allows for a smooth makeup application and a well hydrated complexion. Great for sensitive skin... I know because I have it.

N&N Zerva Black Mascara is my absolute fave! This formula is so gentle on my lashes and adds volume and length for a smooth, clump free look. It is water resistant too!

Nars Striptease Lip Gloss is the perfect nude. It can mix with any of my other lip colours.

Thatís it girls there you have it... some of my favorite beauty essentials. Stay tuned for our next article featuring some of Georgiaís favorite goodies that she likes to carry around, this time of year.
