For everyday wear, choose lip color in neutral shades like mauves (pink and orange combination). Also, when choosing a lip texture, keep in mind that a matte lipstick has more pigment (color) and stays on longer than sheer or glossy ones. You can always apply a gloss over the lipstick for added shine.

Preventing lipstick from getting on your teeth: After applying lipstick and/or gloss, place your finger into your mouth, wrap your lips around the finger and gently pull out your finger in a lollipop motion. The excess lipstick on the inside of your lips will end up on your finger instead of your teeth. Simply wipe it off on a tissue and you’re set to go.

The same way you clean out your closets, clean out your makeup bag. Get rid of that lipstick you spent a fortune on but makes you look like a clown or a vampire.

Next time, buy yourself that sexy lipstick.

Apply lip liner all over the lip and then top off with a gloss...it lasts longer.

For a natural look, outline your lips with a color that is lighter than your lipstick.
